The purpose of Flood Plain Management studies is to identify and examine floodplain related issues and provide findings and recommendations to community leaders and the general public in assessing flood hazards and mitigating flood-related hazards. Hydrologic models are used to assess present and future conditions and the impact of urbanization on stream corridors.
